In 2023, PayPal was definitely the most popular payment choice in Germany, with about 57% of German consumers preferring it over other payment options. This underscores the widespread adoption of digital wallets over traditional ones, like cash or cards.

Ecommerce has widely contributed to the expansion of the domestic CEP (Courier, Express, and Parcel) sector. If we had to use one adjective to describe the German ecommerce logistics system, that would be efficient. In fact, it has a very high first-attempt success ratio of 94.8% and a 95% delivery on-time ratio. Parcel management in Germany follows a strategic approach, with 7.41% of parcels directed to collection points, where 50.2% of these are collected within the first 24 hours.
